Tray Cable

Tray cable is a non-armoured signal or power cable approved under the Canadian Electrical Code for installation in trays. Tray cable provides flexibility in circuit layouts for various industries, including petrochemical, power generation, pulp and paper, mining, wastewater treatment, food processing and transportation. The CSA approved tray cable category includes Power and Control cable, as well as Instrumentation cable with flame-retardant insulation. Tray cable, designed for wet or dry conditions, has soft-annealed bare or tin copper conductors, flame-retardant cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) or polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation, and a PVC jacket. Tray cable is moisture and sunlight resistant, as well as FT4 rated.
Tray Cable and Power Cable Applications
Power and Control tray cable can be installed in cable tray duct and conduit, or they can be used in direct burial applications. Instrumentation tray cable is overall shielded or individual (pair or triad shielded) and overall shielded to reduce electrical interference and cross talk. Non-shielded tray cable is also available.
